Michelle Tay Managing Director
SOLITAIRE’s dynamic lady boss brings with her substantial experience in Asia Pacific's luxury goods sector. She joined SOLITAIRE's launch team in June 2002, armed with more than a decade of hand-on management experience in the luxury and yachting industry. Some of Michelle's career highlights include positions as Show Director with the international IIR Exhibitions group, and Asian Show Consultant to Messe Dusseldorf, the owners of the world’s largest yacht and boat show. Her moving on from events and exhibitions to magazine publishing was a natural progression. Michelle joined the Asian operation of UK-based Emap group, where she took the reins as Publisher of both Asian Diver and Car Magazine. Her broad experience in international marketing and business affairs puts her at the very heart of Edipresse Solitaire Media's success story. As the company's Managing Director since its inauguration in May 2002, Michelle is ever harder at work growing SOLITAIRE into an international magazine brand.

Rainer Sigel Publisher and Business Editor
A veteran of Asia-Pacific's publishing and printing industry, Rainer has lived and worked in this region for close to thirty years. After launching, building and finally selling ASIAN DIVER, Asia Pacific's first ever media group to cover the fast-growing sport diving and marine tourism industry, and a four-year term as an Asia-Pacific Strategy Consultant with the Bertelsmann Media Group, he launched Solitaire Media in 2002.

Julia Goh Managing Editor
Magazine editing is in Julia's blood, which is why after more than a decade in this line, she still clamours
for more. Julia had held various editorial positions over the past fifteen years, running the show for consumer magazines as well as trade and academic publications. She was the founding Editor of the hugely successful
Asian Diver Magazine. Subsequently, as Editorial Director at a trade publishing house, she was responsible
for a stable of industry titles. Prior to joining Solitaire in 2002, she was Assistant Director of Literary Programmes
at The Centre for the Arts, National University of Singapore, where she was responsible for the Centre's
publishing activities.

Debbie Ong Advertising Manager
Since joining the workforce, Debbie has found passion and joy in the publishing industry. She has since pursued her career mainly in the lifestyle and travel publishing sector, which exposed her to sales and marketing roles with international clients. As a sales manager, she aims to bring the same enthusiasm to Solitaire as she makes the switch to the vibrant world of luxury jewellery and watches.

Jesline Lim Assistant Advertising Manager
Jesline has spent the last three years developing business relations with clients in lifestyle-related industries, and is dogged about getting the best media reach for them. She has a penchant for watches, jewellery and travel, which bodes well with her work with Solitaire. She also loves scuba diving and spends quiet days dabbling in handicrafts. |
Melissa Fernando Marketing Executive
The youngest member of the Solitaire team, Melissa Fernando is an energizer bunny, balancing work, studies and play. She is our part-time marketing executive and a student at the Singapore Institute of Management. She has a passion for fashion, gossip shows and travelling. |
Tresa Ong Circulation & Promotions Executive
Tresa comes to Solitaire Media with a Degree in Marketing and several years of experience in marketing, office support and event management. She has also worked in the retail industry, strategising and implementing numerous marketing programmes. Tresa manages Solitaire’s circulation, logistics and exhibitions, as well as providing marketing and promotions support. |
Kim Lee Contributing Editor
Kim has spent most of her 20-year career as writer/photographer/editor in the freelance mode, which she prefers. "It’s the variety I love, which I could never get with a 9-to-5." Variety includes working across various media and for various reasons - journalism, commercials and advertising, corporate communication, documentaries and photography. Recent assignments include VIP profiles, off-the-beaten track adventures and advertising/marketing copy for various publications and organisations.

Winnie Lim Account and Admin Executive
Diligent, thorough and hard working, Winnie takes care of our administration, accounting and logistics. With her quiet and friendly way, this Accounting Graduate is the administrative centre at the heart of the daily media turmoil unfolding at Solitaire.

Nida Seah Editorial Assistant
An Arts graduate from the National University of Singapore, Nida’s love for writing began at an early age when she discovered the power of the written word. A twist of events led her to pursue a career in publishing and she hasn’t looked back since. Aside from contributing to Solitaire, she spends her free time on freelance projects and playing with her young son.

Faby Harlan Graphic Designer
Armed with a degree in Graphic Design after 8 years of studies in Perth, Faby Harlan has been wielding her creative talent around the region. With working stints in Australia and Jakarta, this Indonesian arrived two years ago to our shores and now lends her experience to Solitaire. When she is not working, she likes to cook, bake, sleep and shop, in no particular order.

A recent graduate from the University of Queensland, Alexandra is an Australian fashion and lifestyle writer with an interest in jewellery and its history, including the people who design, create and wear it.

Aniko Navai Hollywood Correspondent Born in Hungary, Aniko is a veteran attendee and field correspondent of Hollywood's red carpet events, parties, premiers and galas, and has been a Los Angeles resident since 1986. She is a member of the Hollywood Foreign Press Association, the prestigious group of international entertainment journalists behind the Golden Globe Awards.

Myriam Maytorena StarGems Writer
A scholar of the New Age with more than 30 years’ experience in cross-cultural studies of metaphysics and spirituality, Myriam Maytorena is also a professional astrologer, writer and counsellor. She published her first astrology article in the 1970’s, and has since written hundreds of articles published in various periodicals, as well as authored five books on astrology and related topics.
